Yes, but I found it didn’t work for me. Having such a large grazing window massively spiked my insulin throughout the day, leading to no real benefits on my fast. But I’m severely insulin resistant. I’ve stuck with 69-72 hour fasts, 4-6 hour refeeds (I’m a slow eater) ever since and it worked for me.

But ymmv. If you’re not insulin resistant and you’re eating keto, it’s going to be a much different ballgame for you than someone else. It’s also different if you’re doing time restricted eating in your eating window and not just eating non-stop. A lot of people have a lot of success with every other day/adf so try it out! If it works for you, that’s what is most important

I use this method. Tried extended water fasting, but I couldn’t really do more than 5 days in a row as I don’t have huge amounts of fat to lose. I thought water fasting was too much for me to do for a long period so I switched to ADF as it’s more sustainable for me. Actually I‘m in the normal bmi range. I still want to lose body fat tho so I eat 2 meals between 14 and 20 o‘clock one day and then fast till 14 o‘clock the day after tomorrow which actually puts me in a 42 hrs fasting. It helps me to lose weight really quickly.

The thing is that it actually made me lose my appetite so I’m not eating enough calories on my eating days. That’s why I probably lose so much so fast. Working on that tho.

Started with like 60kgs 3 weeks ago and currently I’m 55kgs. I’m 160cm tall, and a 22f. I‘m also pretty active, trying to get 10000 steps in everyday, riding my bicycle every other day and doing some yoga and strength training at home.

I cycle between OMAD, 36s, 48s and the occasional 72 depending on how I’m feeling. I keep my eating Windows as short as possible usually an hour or less. I started in mid June and am down 30 lbs (6’2” male 215-185). I usually allow myself to cheat a few days a month with longer eating windows when I feel like drinking and hanging out with friends and family. I don’t really restrict what I’m eating during feeding windows, but am trying to avoid carbs more and more as I can tell they make me go into binge mode. I typically try to overeat during feeding windows, but typically can’t get through half of what I make myself to eat.

I’ve been doing IF (~18/6) for about 3y now with a 48-72h fasts every other month or so. I wasn’t happy with the monotony of my meals and the schedule around it, so a month ago I’ve decided to change it up and started shortening the IF window, and move to the so called “Monk Fasting”, every Friday, which usually nets me around 40h. I’ve been a bit more bloaty for the first few weeks outside the monk fast, since my metabolism had to adapt to the slightly higher calorie intake and shortened fasting window but daaaamn, those Fridays are a joy now, with practically zero cravings/hunger, stress, and more energy and focus like never before, especially if paired with a cold plunge and a sauna. I actually look forward for every Friday now 😀Not really interested in ADF since I’m not looking to lose weight, would rather gain a few pounds of muscle tbh, so Monk Fasting is what works best for me atm.
