I just completed a 5 day DF and the results on my shoulder Rotator cuff injury have been nothing short of amazing. I think it’s 75% healed. I am mentally ready for another fast to add more healing and don’t want to lose this momentum since the hardest thing in fasting is mentally starting.
Fast loss is a bonus and it was an average of 1kg/2.2lbs a day. Which helps since I have been about 25kg overweight.
So far with my refeeds which started last night have had 4 bowls of homemade lamb bone broth, 9 eggs - this evening I will have two bowls of oats, yogurt, blended frozen blueberries, and blended pumpkin seeds.
Good on you! I am on day 3 of an intended 5-day (soft) dry fast as well. Curious, how did you decide on the eggs and oats bowl? Also, did you experience any stomach upset upon breaking your fast? I have done 5-days before, lost a lot of weight, struggled on the refeeds. Your regimen sounds very “doable”.
