Has anyone had gums heal on longer dryfasts?

I have bad gum recession from chewing tobacco(I know I’m an idiot but I quit). Has anyone had significant gum healing from dryfasting?

Answer

I quit snus 3 months ago (you know, tobacco under the lip(s)), after being addicted for about 16 years. My gums will likely not restore 100%, but I think dry fasting speeded up what would have healed anyway eventually. That said, it’s not always an advantage to speed up healing, since the side effects from healing (like pain, itching, heat etc) can be kinda brutal if it gets too much at the same time.

The mouth heals kinda fast anyway, most of what is possible to heal is usually done within a month.
