I think it depends more on the length of the fast you’re breaking. For me, I’ve broken with eggs after fasting anywhere from 1-3 days, and had no issues at all. When I broke my 7 day fast, I made fresh tzatziki sauce with extra garlic, and I was comfortably relieved of my constipation.

It really depends on your length of fast. Anything under 5 days it doesn’t really matter too much. You’ll have some issues, but they recorrect after a while.

However, if you’re doing a longer fast, like something 10+ days, I wouldn’t risk it. The safest thing to break the fast of those lengths is usually a really easy fruit like watermelon and only in small quantities.

I know a YouTuber, vegetablepolice, who broke his 21 day fast with raw eggs and had a hernia. He had to be rushed to the hospital to fix that issue. He has a video on that if you’re interested.

I’ve done a few longer fast with my longest being 23 days and have never had any issues breaking it with a little fruit. Tons of energy and you only need a little to be satiated. I wouldn’t risk the eggs if you’re doing something long.

IMO - best is to break with a cup of warm broth (bone, chicken, wtv) then an hour later, one of two 7min boiled eggs (white hard, yellow soft). Then a few hours later, eat some veg or kimchi etc.

Never had a issue, no blood sugar spikes, not hard on the stomach.
