Hello fasting community đź‘‹

I’m making this post to mark my journey and join a supportive community.

Today is day 1 of my ambitious 30 day water fast! I’m so hyped because I know my body needs this and I feel like it’s going to be a humbling experience.

Currently stocked up on gallons of smart water so I can still have electrolytes and be hydrated! I’m so hyped!

I know it’s only day one but I hear the first week is the hardest so I’m ready for the challenge 💪

Currently 22 M, 5’9” and 247 lbs. My goal is to hit 200 then I’ll starting eating and working out again!

congrats! expect the first 3 days to be the hardest (I’ve only personally done 3 day fasts myself but have loved it everytime and am currently trying for 5-7 days)…i’m a little worried about your electrolyte intake though, i’m doubting smart water is enough (though admittedely i know little about smart water)….i would read the page on electroyltes as it’s helpful…personally on a 3 day fast or less i’ve been fine with just putting some salt in my water (and drink apple cider vinegar with water and teas all day long) but anything longer than 3 days you need to have a real plan for electrolytes - when i get to day 3 i am going to start taking a Reset supplement for extended fasting that has magnesium, potassium, sodium, etc. I am also going to be taking magnesium flakes (epson salt) baths as i’ve read that the skin absorbs magnesium really well and i struggle to sleep on longer fasts and magnesium is supposed to help with that…if i make it past 5 days i will start to have a little bone broth each evening to prepare myself to eventually fully break my fast…good luck can’t wait to hear your results!
