Hi! So I did a 5 day water fast, and then I got my period, and all bets were off. I had chips and guacamole and some apples to break the fast. It hurt. Then I got chocolate. Ouch. Three days later, I’ve been eating very little, but there’s a distinct dull pain in my gut, I’m incredibly bloated, and the scale keeps climbing up (4 pound gain in 3 days!!)... I don’t have insurance, so going to the doctor is not an option. Any advice to get my digestive system back on track? Ate a fork-full of sauerkraut today. I know I’m a dumbass who should’ve been more careful, but someone please advise

The weight gain is most likely just the water weight coming back. Bloating can mean many things but one time I had this happen coming off a fast and I did break it properly. I took some probiotics and the next morning the problem was solved.
Another thing I do is drink some cold brew and stay close to the bathroom.
