Help for my friend! (thyroid gland)

I have a friend that I care about a lot and she is morbidly obese. She has troubles with the thyroid gland, and that’s the big issue. She wants to lose weight, she tried all diets, but nothing helped.

I am feeling bad to see her in pain.

Fasting did wonders for me. I never had any troubles with weight, but I lost around 4-5 kg and my energy and productivity increased at work and, my sleep was improved tremendously.

Now, I want to help her, but I am not sure if fasting will be safe for her, because of her condition with the thyroid gland and all the meds that she is taking for that.

If anyone has any experience with this, please share it.

Thank you!

No one on here can help other than guessing, she needs to speak to her doctor

Thats not correct thoughEating less calories than your body uses makes you lose weight, thyroid issues or not.Thyroid issues just mean the calories out are typically lower than you actually think.

Also can she use medication like T3 to if not fix it at least compensate for the issues.Thats a question to her doctor

I would recommend Dr Stephen Cabral’s podcast, you can go on his site & search his podcasts by keywords. He has a lot of useful information in regards to thyroid, hormones, & also fasting. Hopefully that will provide some insight on how best to proceed for your friend. Good luck!
