I’m on hour 30 of my 72 hour fast and I could eat my shoe right now. I usually do 48 hour fasts and at this point I’m okay with being hungry because I know I will eat tomorrow, ugh.
Any words of wisdom to make it to 72? I really want to accomplish it.
dude its normal, the craving will never end, im at day 7 and even though i don’t feel really hungry i crave all the time, tonight was REALLY hard because i made 3 pizza for the family and it looked very good but i fight it and didn’t eat, one thing that helped me was the fact that i can make them and eat them when i reached my goal and then there will be no feeling terrible for breaking my fast, just thing that you can eat them later.
Watch a fasting video! I always watch Dr.Pradip Jamnadas talk called Fasting for Survival every time I do an extended fast. Hearing about what is going on in your body is a great motivator! Autophagy is going strong in your body right now! Inflammation in your body is way down as well. Stretch our or go for a walk. Excercise increases Autophagy even more. You can also have drinks with Stevia. It’s been shown to actually HELP with insulin. I recomend Stur and Sweetleaf water inhancers. I also have a Soda Stream so I make my own flavored seltzers. I always add Morton’s lite salt for electrolytes. A good hunger buster for me is a swig of pickle juice which provides electrolytes with out breaking a fast.
Brush your teeth and take a nice warm shower, that usually helps me feel good and avoid the hunger pangs or even just boredom that sets in due to the lack of eating.
You could also have some baking soda mixed with water, that almost always makes my hunger go away. 🙂
