Help with refeeding needed

Hi guys, experienced long dryfasters!

l have a very big problem with the refeeding after a longer, 7, 9 to 12, days dryfast, wich i have done before.

Every time I ended with huge edema in my legs, and once even with an excruciating neck pain wich lasted about 2 weeks. The neck pain could have been caused by bad body posture during the last days of the 9 days df, i was reading a lot with the head hanging down to the front. So this is also a future warning to others who want to df, don’t read with the head hanging down, watch your position.

I’m 167 cm and startet this df with 67 kg. Right now I’m finishing day 7 at 22 pm CET, and is going pretty well. I want to do 12 days to try to realign the body skeleton.

The fast is done for therapy and healing, I have coxoartrozis, and other degenerative spine problems and nerve issues caused by trigeminal neuralgia.

So, is there someone who can help me with the refeeding process and write it down a step-by-step guide with schedule too? A guide thru the first week of refeeding? Or at least the first 3,4,5 days? It would be really appreciated!

I’m mostly interested in to a slow refeeding tending towards fruits, for it is what my body is craving for right now, but anything else is welcome too!

Thank you very much!

I am still working on this myself. I did get some improvement by starting with only water, then bone broth, next day miso soup, then avocado and berries. After that I added some fish dip, celery, and carrots. I didn’t get any swelling, but didn’t feel quite right. After the fish dip day I regressed to miso soup the next day. Then I was okay. This was only after 4 days of dry fasting. My goal is to reach 7-9 days so I can potentially cure my Hashimotos Thyroiditis. 😊

I have had issues with refeeding in my previous fasts..11 day water, 5 day dry and 3 day dry…I get some discomforts in my jaw..Based on my limited experience, take it very slow..Do not rush back to solid foods

I just drink a litre with half teaspoon of bicarb over about 2-4 hours. Really slow. Rinse and repeat. Then I move to coconut water in the same style. Then juices diluted in water. Slowly does it and need a teaspoon + sodium over the first day to prevent oedema

Thank you all for the good advices.I broke my sdf yesterday at 13.30 pm cet, at 11 days and 15 hours, bc. I didn’t want start the refeeding/drinking in the middle of the night and use the night to this.

Only water + litt sodium in the first day, today water +litt acv. Everything is fine right now, no swelling or oedema. Tomorrow planning to start with coconut water, maybe some diluted lemon in the evening.

Thanks once again, God bless you all! Don’t be afraid, just embrace the emotions while fasting and take it slooowly in the first couple of days of refeeding!
