OMAD (or 20/4 IF, sometimes) is super helpful for me because I tend to want to binge/boredom eat/emotional eat late at night, and when I do so, I easily overeat. Setting the one meal/short window for myself helps me to resist that temptation a lot more effectively than just counting calories. I also have a lot of insulin resistance, so I find that the fewer times a day I eat, the better I do with weight loss…even if the calories are the same. But realistically, the most effective way of eating is the one that you can successfully do. So it’s perfectly okay to do OMAD some days, and something else the other days if that’s what works for you!
