I’m sorry for any mistakes as English is not my native language!

I’m 5’3” and I am struggling to lose weight.
It’s been one month since I started IF, I did 19:5 everyday and I’ve lost 2 kg (around 4 lbs), which I’m very happy about, but is my progress slow? I am celebrating my wedding in 3 months and I would love to lose 15 kg (33 lbs) by then, but at this rate I won’t achieve even half of that. Is my goal unreasonable?
I am doing 30 minutes of cardio 5-6 days per week. Maybe I just have to eat more? I am consuming around 900 kcals 6 days a week and around 1300 one day a week. Should I consume a minimum of 1200 kcal every day?
I am also drinking at least 1.5 L of water every day, is that enough?
So, am I doing anything wrong? Or is losing 2 kg per month a good result? What do you think?
Thanks so much!
Slow and steady wins the race- also 900 calories is so low with all that exercise. I would calculate your TDEE and see what kind of deficit you actually need. I personally (and I am not a doctor) wouldn’t suggest anything below 1200. Your body needs more calories to burn so you can build muscle. Which leads to the next part, if you are building muscle the scale may move slower. Take progress pics, and if you can, measure yourself! Sometimes measuring in inches rather than weight shows a bigger change. Good job being consistent with your workouts though! I need to be better myself.
Hello! As someone that also started 96-97 at 5’2” and is now 68, (unfortunately crept back up from 58)You could? But you’d probably have to cut your calories more and maybe up your exercise. That’s gonna make you grumpy, your nails split and your hair fall out. You wanna do that to your spouse for three months before your wedding?
Go slowly and sensibly. Increase your calories. Focus on exercising making you feel good. Put the number goal away, and focus on health and fitness.
Losing 2kg a month is great! You will have times where you may lose more or less but consistency is key. 900 does seem low. Not eating enough can backfire and make it harder to lose weight because your body will think it’s in starvation mode and will try to preserve everything it can. I would suggest calculating how much kcal you used to consume before starting your journey and then deduct from there. Consuming less calories than you used to eat will already make a big difference! You just have to keep at it!
Stay the course that you’re on. I will say, make sure that you’re 100% honest with calorie tracking. Be sure to weigh your foods. High sodium always makes me go up a in weight, as does my period. Best of luck!! You’ve got this🙌🏾
