Hi guys iam starting at 220 pounds(100kg). I want to lose around 60 pounds or 25 kg. Iam thinking of water fasting 3 days a week. When should I expect to reach my goal?
The general rule of thumb is half a pound or a whole pound a day when water fasting…
so that would mean 60- 120 days in a fasted state; so at the slowest pace its around 30 weeks but I bet its gonna come off much quicker.
It is highly individual and it varies depending on your starting weight; frame; gender; age etc.
it depends what you eat on the other 4 daysand it depends on your Basal metabolic ratein 24hrs of fasting you burn at least the equivalent of your BMR. suppose I want to loose 4kg and my BMR is 2000 calories (what my body burns at rest in 24hrs) when you lower your carb intake you will loose some water weight at first and you will regain it as soon as you eat carbs again so I don’t count water weight.
Only talking fat weight. 1 kg of fat = 7000 calories of fatso 4kg = 28000 calories to burn
in one fasting day I burn BMR calories which in this example equals 2000so to know how many days of fasting :28000/2000 = 14 days not necessarily consecutive.
BUT AS LONG as on the non fasting days you don’t eat more than your BMR. hope this helps.you can calculate bmr on online bmr calculators.
