High carb low fat vs low carb high fat?

Before I get downvoted to hell, i just want to see if y’all noticed any benefits with a low vs high carb diet. Of course this comes with the assumption that it’s minimally processed and full of variety, not a processed and crappy diet.

probably good either way as long as you’re limiting processed carbs, processed seed oils, and sugar.

Personally, my only concern with low fat would be missing out on the omega’s in fatty fish, the choline in egg yolks, and the minerals from organ meat.

IMO protein is the most important macro, which you might already know but I feel I should still point out. Meals should be based around a protein, especially if you’re trying to build muscle and/or lose fat.

That being said, I prefer high carb low fat. I like fruits and vegetables, and I want the freedom to eat an apple and not care if I’m in ketosis lol. Plus, carbs are our main source of energy.

Fats are very important for health as well, assuming they come from mostly healthy sources. They’re also more satiating than carbs. I personally don’t like red meat or pork, so finding proteins that have little to no fat is easy for me. Most of my fats come from nuts and some dairy lol. Plus, so many things come fat free it’s easy to cut out, however there can be some concerns with ingredients added in that process. You can also get low carb versions with a lot of grains too though, like keto breads and tortillas.

What you want is gonna depend on your goals, such as weight loss, maintenance, or muscle gain
