So I took my blood sugar reading 1 day after my 5 day fast. Yesterday I ate mostly high protein and 2 ww fiber one bars, black beans and Shitake mushrooms. .. nothing way high in sugar,and when I took my reading today it read 126! I plan to go to the doctors next week and have my labs drawn but I was just wondering why so high? I’m 230lbs after my 5 day water fast and plan to do 5:2 fasting until 190lbs, then alt day fasting. If anyone has a theory as to why it read so high I’d love to know. I didn’t take my reading before fasting but I’ve never been told my fasting reading was high on previous tests from the doctors.
How long after eating did you take your blood sugar? Regardless if it had sugar in it…. That would be a normal blood sugar.
