Himalayan salt and fasting

Heard it solves the electrolyte problem for shorter fasts. So I was wondering if 5 days is not pushing it. Don’t think so but I’m asking anyway. Also reccomended quantity?

I don’t think Himalayan salt is any better for fasting outside of personal preference. Use salt, NaCl (this is most normal salts we eat), salt KCl (this is in most lite or sodium free salts), and magnesium. I do roughly an even mix of the two salts. I honestly normally skip the magnesium since I ran out long ago…. I need to find a good source.

Pink Himalayan salt and No Salt is all I ever use. I would routinely to 100 hour fasts. I can’t speak to an exact amount. I just put a few shakes of each in my black coffee in the morning. It worked pretty well for me.

I discovered the Himalayan salt potency during my 100h fast. I think I was on my third day and about to go teach a dance class. Feeling pretty weak, I took one grain of salt and the effect was immediate! I was so happy, what a life hack! Popped 3 more grains during the 1-hour class and overdosed, apparently. I barely made it home to barf in peace lol.

Tldr: 1 grain is amazing, if you’re popping them straight up and dry. Dissolved in water: probably more is ok too.
