Hit a plateau. Thinking about trying OMAD. Anyone have experience with this?

Hi All,

I’ve lost about 70-75 lbs since February doing mostly 16:8 and 18:6. Lately, though, I feel like I’ve kind of hit a plateau as I’ve been stuck at 257-259lbs for the past 10 days or so. I was thinking about trying OMAD to break through the plateau but…I don’t know. I’m pretty active and swim laps 3-4x per week for exercise in addition to IF. I’m worried that if I OMAD I won’t get enough calories/energy and it may actively work against me. I tried one day of OMAD and only managed to eat around 1,100 calories total.

So, just wondering if anyone has experience with this? Am I *really* in a plateau, or do I just perhaps need to tighten up what I’m eating in my feeding window? Those of you who decided to switch to OMAD…how did it work out for you?

Answer

You can do OMAD like a 3 course meal. Start with an app or snack, main meal, finish with a dessert or fruit. I’ve been loving OMAD now for almost 2 months. It takes a bit to adjust but I don’t count calories and I eat until I’m full and it’s so freeing to not be in a diet mindset.
