How am I still pooping!?

Weeks into a fast and still making actual occasional turds. I’ve always assumed this is basically from digested GI tract cells as they are sloughed off and replaced. Is this the case or does food really take 3+ weeks to be totally eliminated?

Answer

You don’t just poop out food well you actually poop out old bacteria, your intestine as you know are very long and hold quite a bit, poop will have general waste being produced from the body old cells, old bacteria all sorts. They will become less and less but the body will still produce them

Weird isn’t it 🤣 cuz u think no food no poop right?

Answer

Have done fasts that were longer then 2 weeks.

Even those you eventually poop. It’s not much, and isn’t “solid” but it happens.

After my first few where I got unwelcome bathroom breaks after day 10 I decided to control it a bit more. Up your salt a bit on a day you know your home, cleans you out
