Hello. Back in 2019 I did 20:4 fasts with calorie restriction and lost 22 kg in 5 months. I went from 75 kg to 53 kg and decided to loosen a little bit. The thing is even when I eat healthy amounts of food (recommended calories) I still gain weight. I’m on various medication including antidepressants and antipsychotics so that’s probably the reason. Also, I’m prone to binge eating, recently I gained 2 kg during 3 days of binging and lost 3 kg in 16 days afterwards. I’m now at 56 kg and I want to lose 2kg more and maintain it but not sure how. Currently I’m doing 18:6 fasts and calorie restriction to lose weight. Should I keep fasting with a bit longer feeding windows and increase calorie intake for maintenance or something else?
Some people enjoy fasting so much they keep it up forever. Like always doing 16:8 with 2 meals a day
Maybe take a look at what you eat during your eating window. Sometimes that’s more important than your fasting window.
