How do you figure out calories in fried food?

I get you can weigh all the ingredients, but how do you figure out the weight of the oil etc?

Answer

I haven’t done this for regular frying (only air frying). What is the specific recipe? Have you considered weighing the food before and after frying as a ballpark for the oil that was absorbed?

Update: My comment is wrong. u/Komodo_do’s reply below is the right approach.

Answer

To figure out the weight of the oil, I first weigh the oil in the container (without the cap), tare the scale, then pour out what I use, then put the oil container back on the scale. The weight will show the weight of the oil you used.
