How do you front load your calories/ follow circadian rhythm feeding when commuting on the daily?

I have read of the benefits of “front loading” one’s calories, hearty breakfast with a good amount of food for lunch and next to no food for dinner and finish eating before 6 PM or earlier.

How do you follow such a diet when having to commute to work both in the morning and then in the afternoon? Basically travelling when the feeding window closes.

Having a massive lunch during work sounds like a great way of getting sleepy during the afternoon.

Or try to get the calories via grazing throughout the feeding window? Is that healthy to keep your insulin up and pancreas working for hours?

What are your thoughts?

I think the “front loading” bit is for going for a “most optimized” set up, which I don’t think is necessary to get the benefits you are after. You should adjust the plan (eating windows) to meet your life requirements not the other way around. Eating a massive meal isn’t required anywhere for circadian rhythm feeding. With respect to the pancreas and liver, the daylight hours are when it works best, the evening hours are tough on it, so giving them work while they are “awake” is fine but giving them work when they are “sleeping” isn’t all that great for the pancreas nor the system as a whole.

It is perfectly fine to skip breakfast, eat a light lunch and light dinner, if you have body fat you will be just fine.
