How do you not think about eating?

I want to do a fast, I’m thinking of a bone broth one for 10 days. But I always have trouble not thinking about eating. I do it when I’m bored, I snack and I don’t even realize it. But I want to stop! I’ve lost 30 pounds recently and I need to lose 30 more but I feel like I’ve lost all motivation to do it. Any advice for getting into the right mindset?

Really its simple, get lost into a hobby or activity. Like really something that can eat hours if not days away. I stick to like Chess books or Warhammer painting, and before you know it the day is over.

Of course it’s natural to think about food bc it’s how the body stays alive :D However, while fasting, consider food and eating as the biggest part of your problem and fasting is the only way to fix it. Watching comedies helped me tremendously when I fasted, I guess bc laughing raised my endorphin levels. I also sat out in the sun to increase my vitamin D.

Honestly, day 1 was the hardest for me wondering if I’d crack or not…I didn’t! And that next morning when I woke up…I wasn’t hungry or as hungry as the day before. Day 3 I felt amazing like I had just gotten over a cold… Drink water, use electrolytes, and you’ll be fine :)

A weird one for when you are at home and trying to avoid mindless snacking: wear a mouth guard. You can get really slim ones. I found this out wearing Invisaligners that it was super useful preventing impulsive eating because I had to consciously remove them. That and the minty whitening spray makes it feel like it’s not good time.
