It does, but your body also isn’t wasting resources by digesting food 24/7 either, and your body also stores a lot of what it needs to function in your fat cells, ready to be accessed when needed. So long as you’re eating well between fasts it’ll quickly replenish what it needs. Just make sure you’re getting enough nutrients. I personally supplement even during fasting. Especially vitamin D.
