I have done several 36 hour fasts usually one a month work out and eat healthy but this last 10-20lbs just won’t seem to go
I do rolling 72 hour fasts which means I fast for 72 hours (3 days), eat in a window of a hour or two, and then fast for 72 hours all over again. I’ve been doing it for a month but before this I did fasting here and there, mostly OMAD. You’ll get lots of different answers cause it’s really about whatever works for you and your lifestyle and body goals too. I’ve got 40-50lbs to lose still. I’m down 15lbs since starting Feb. 4th, 2023. ✌️
Gotta go longer then, I’m seeing OK results with 3 day fasts (they usually end up being about 91hr fasts since I try to make my eating window as small as possible), you might want to try 48hr fasts to begin with, and see if that works?
I do OMAD , and workout 6 times a week , I’ve lost about 50 pounds in 2 months . It’s not just a calorie deficit that will lose weight , macros are the biggest thing to watch even with small calorie items , if it’s high in bad fats it won’t help you lose ! And make sure to stay active at least a few times through the week
I do omad and still have to count calories to lose weight that’s just the way she goes. Fasting is more about hormone control. Weight loss will always have to be the result of less calories in than out while fasting helps to reduce the opportunity to consume less calories if you are slamming a triple baconator and a pint of ice cream you probably won’t lose weight. As my old coach used to say “ You want get cut? Then cut the pizza”
I’m doing rolling ~60-63 hour fasts. I eat until 9-10 pm, then fast two whole days, then try and eat around 11 am on my eating day and have dinner. Length of the fast depends on how late I eat on my eating day and what time I have my first part fast meal. I just play those by ear.
I’d lose a lot more weight if I restricted my calories or ate healthier on my eating days but I’m down about 27 pounds since the start of November which I’m totally happy with. Have another 20-25 pounds to go.
I haven’t eaten in over three weeks and I’ve lost over 22 pounds. I run and do martial arts every week and just started a daily calisthenics workout with my wife. I started at 208 and I’m down to 184. My eating plan when I break will be strict carnivore long enough to make eight weeks total. Then I’ll reassess, probably leaning towards carnivore IF.
