I recently discovered, mid-fast and dealing with some electrolyte deficiency, that apparently potassium is prescription only in the country I live in. I decided to end my fast on that note but I was wondering how long I could have safely gone without a potassium supplement?
If you can’t get potassium, you should not do extended fasting, period. Potassium deficiency can lead to serious heart problems, including death if severe enough.
Anyone advocating extended fasting without electrolytes will be banned for Rule 2.
