I’m kinda in the same boat! I started my weight loss journey a few months ago and didn’t really start seeing or feeling a difference until i lost 10lbs, and then 15, then 20 and so on… and now some of my old clothes fit me again! But day by day it always felt like nothing was changing, that the weight was going down way too slowly, etc. but i think the key is to be consistent and patient. I started implementing fasts regularly about a month ago and it definitely helps, especially when i hit a plateau.
I haven’t gotten my blood tested yet, but I’m sure my insulin resistance has improved, and I’ve also been having MUCH more vivid dreams! Maybe it does have something to do with insulin resistance…
I’ve been doing 20:4 for about 6 weeks now. It took about 3 weeks to lose the first 10 lbs and then boom! The weigh loss really sped up! Part of my plan this time around was to avoid the scale so I don’t know exactly how much more I’ve lost since the first 10, but based on how my clothes fit and the reactions from people it’s really solid weight loss. So I think it’s safe to say that 6 weeks in you’ll start to have really noticeable progress that will be super motivating! Keep working hard!
Almost Immediately? I mean right now I’m fasting for 3-4 days (and increasing), so each fast I lose 3-4 pounds. I don’t weigh again until I’m a few days into the new fast as to not get discouraged by the false weight increase due to eating.
