Hey! I’m a dietitian. Avocados do not contain any trans fats, so you can eat them worry free! Trans fats are contained in some natural animal products like whole milk and some meats but are also produced as the result of industrial food modification, where liquid oils are converted to solid ones (e.g., margarine and shortening). Since avocados are natural and unprocessed, they are a great source of healthy monounsaturated fats (great for your heart’s health!) with no trans fat.

However, avocado is still very high in fat content! So depending on your lifestyle, characteristics, and goals the amount of avocado you should eat on a regular basis can vary.
