How often and how long do you fast for non weight-loss benefits?

Just completed a 40h fast.. I’m 120lbs and 5’6” so I’m not looking to lose weight. Kinda did it to counter some bad eating over the past month. 24h in I was getting very clear headed. Just broke my fast and honestly I just feel really really good, like clean energy and cleared up any brain fog. My mood was great, it was just a really good feeling

How often do you do prolonged fasts for benefits other than weight loss? Is 36 to 48 hours a good time? I feel like I don’t think I can last beyond that.. 40h felt like I was at my limit.. I was feeling pretty weak. And why do sharts happen lol

I currently don’t, but after my month long fast I’ll keep fasting one day per week from then on. Partially for effortless weight management, but also to keep myself healthy by letting my body do its thing.

I know you should listen to your body.

If you’re hungry and it’s laying - your body is telling you what it needs. You’re pretty light so probably not a good idea to do long fasts anyways.
