How often do you weigh yourself?

I just started IF last week. I plan to weigh myself once a week.

How often do you weigh yourself?

When looking at different tracking apps there was one (can’t remember which one)🤷🏼‍♀️that wanted your weight daily. I’m tracking via the free version of Fastic and like it…but curious if paid version gives you a lot more content and you feel it’s worth it?

Every morning after going to the bathroom and before I get dressed. BUT I know daily variations are normal and I really look at the weekly average (and even then I need to account for where I’m at with regards to my cycle).

I don’t track it in my IF app, just in my scale’s app. For IF I use the free version of Zero App, which gives me a timer (with a widget) and that’s really all I need.

I haven’t weighed myself even once since I restarted IF from this Nov cos earlier I used to be super disappointed when the scales didn’t move down as per my liking which in turn demotivated me. So this time I decided not to give the weighing scale the ultimate super power to judge and rather focus on the other NSV gains. Now 16 days into IF and I’m super happy that my clothes fit much nicer and not tight, bloating has reduced tremendously (thanks to green tea n black coffee during the fasting window!) so my tummy looks much flatter and my pants fit a bit looser! Abundant energy and mental clarity are added bonuses! So overall I feel these are the real achievements than waiting only for the scale go down.

i weigh twice a week, give or take. unless you’re prepared for it, weighing daily can kill your drive, because there are daily fluctuations everyone has, and they can be quite high, which can be shocking, haha. i went thru it early in my journey. weekly’s a good routine!

make sure you weigh after you’ve used the bathroom, and before you’ve eaten/drank anything or put on clothes.

i use the free version of fastic, no issues with it so far. i keep a weird schedule, and sometimes it doesn’t say i’ve fasted for a day due to weird timings, even tho i definitely fasted, but that’s nbd since i don’t care about keeping a streak or anything.
