I am very new to intermittent fasting. Me and my wife, we are trying 16:8 version of intermittent fasting. How often should we eat in the eating window? Two times as we used to do, or can we eat fruits or a couple of nuts or snacks? Thanks in advance.
I started a month ago, also 16:8, and basically I eat when I feel I need to. So for me it’s breakfast, then I drink a green drink with metamucil added around lunch, or I eat lunch and save the drink for later. I may grab a sandwich or something quick just before the end of the 8 hour window, but not always. I don’t snack because I don’t feel like snacking.
I’m not trying to calorically restrict my diet because I want to continue this way of eating, I feel better doing so. And I’m down ten pounds anyway because I’m definitely eating less than I used to.
edit: I will say breakfast can be a pretty big meal for me. Two eggs, bean and cheese burrito, two slices of bacon, sometimes an english muffin with pbj. Coffee. Breakfast is my biggest meal of the day.
