How soon is too soon after breaking a fast to fast again?

Hey everyone, I just finished a 5 day water/ electrolyte fast yesterday. I broke the fast with broth throughout the day and then tofu, broccoli, carrots, snap peas, green beans and brown rice. Today I feel great energy wise and no stomach issues. I really wanted to fast for 7 days (in my lifetime I’d like to get to 15 days). I stopped at day 5 because I was having to move furniture and had a very active day and was getting worried for my heart (although I have no known heart issues)

I have done lots of research with fasting, but I’m unsure of how long I should be eating until I try again. Would it be okay to try fasting again for 7 days starting today? Would it be better for me to wait a couple days? I’m just unsure what kind of stress could be happening to my body and if anyone has any experience or insight. Thank you!

Answer

I’ve been wondering this same question. I fasted last October for 10 days only water and have been doing OMAD and skipping meals every other day since…but I’d like to do another water fast but for much longer and not sure if I should.
