How to avoid binge-eating after a fast?

I tried fasting two years ago, and stopped because I was always binging, with very rare exceptions. Now I started again and nothing has changed. Do you have any advice on how to stop binge-eating after, say 16h fast?

Answer

Eat. Exactly. What. You. Want.

You might be searching for something you’re missing (when on a binge). I’m sure you had cravings while you were fasting. Start with those then eat foods that are filling.

Meet your calorie quota from there.

Eat slowly. Drink a good amount of water with your meal. Brush your teeth after you eat.

Answer

I think you have to wean your body off the sugar rush (any type of sugar, like carbs). Start your eating with protein, even if you binge, just don’t binge on carbs and sugar. Start with a hard boiled egg and eat again 10 minutes later. I think over time it will help.
