How to Fast while stressed

So I find myself having a hard time getting back into fasting and not wanting to eat way too many calories once I get done now that my job is causing a lot of stress. And I not even talking about multiple day fasts. I mean like even a simple 16:8… I never had this issue a couple years ago when I did fasting more regularly

I empathize with you. After 1 year of 3-4 days fast per week, I can barely go 24h. That was 3 or 4 years ago and now fasting stresses me. I think the fasting ship has sailed for me. Sorry for the downer comment…

I feel you. Also used to be able to do 24h, 2 or 3 day fasts. I’m just re-starting, but when work is boring or not fun, my mind goes into food-searching mode.

Being a somewhat competitive person, it helped me to join a team sport where runs / sprints are involved and sucking at it. I know I can do exercise to get better, but the best way to become better at it is to shed those oh-so-many pounds; and the most effective way I’ve found for me is keto + fasting.

Having this goal in my head helps me put me back on track, even when I stray a bit and do like days of “only” low-ish carb and only doing 12-14h “fasts”. Just give yourself a break.
