i have been on the exact situation!
more than anything you need motivation, if you have no goal for losing weight or your goals are not that important to you, it will be near impossible to do it, after 2 years of constant trying in every single day i finally did it and now im almost 4 days done. motivation is the key!
for me getting healthy and become handsome or being able to wear nice stuff wasn’t really important, heck i didn’t even care if i die of it. but i finally learned this lesson and find a true and very important motivation.
Motivation like the other poster said, also keep busy. Sometimes I do something that feels like preparing and having a meal when it gets intense - think boiling water, adding tea or a little salt, sitting down, and sipping it slowly.
