How to get to an evening window

Everytime I hit lunch time I get an intense urge to eat especially under the week. I work from home so the kitchen is all too close. I really want a shorter evening window, however, I’ve been IFing for 3½ months and I’m still struggling to get there.

Any tips on how to shift your eating to later in the day? Since it’s definitely mental that’s the issue, any tips that helped you break your lunch/afternoon eating habits?

I will try everything and report back.

Drink water. Lots and lots of water. That makes the difference. Also I’d say small time changes. Like if your get hungry at 2 then tell yourself to wait till 2:15 or 2:30. Then the next day just push a little more.

Drink some black coffee or tea before you know you typically get hungry. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant, so it should help you push through. And maybe throw some carbonated water in there. Sometimes the fizzy water helps trick my stomach.

These folks nailed it. Coffee. Get and stay busy. Increment. Today I just got busy and forgot to eat until I was at 20 hours. By then I said screw it and did my first 24. Felt good once it was done!

Edit: I’m also about to but stock in lacroix… so much hydration.

I am eating OMAD around 6:30 pm each day. At 3pm I have pretty intense hunger. I usually have a cup of tea / drink a big glass of water. The hunger usually passes within 30 mins and then I’m fine again until it’s time to eat. I read on one of these subs that the hunger doesn’t build, it eventually subsided so I just try to stick it out knowing it’s a temporary feeling!
