How to motivate when you are over stimulated, over worked, and a parent!

I’ve always loved IF, whether it be 2 day fasts, omad, 18:6…. But since becoming a father I have not had any self control whatsoever…

Longest I’ve managed to keep up IF in the last 3 years was a mere 4 days…. I don’t how to control myself anymore, lunch time roles up and I need to eat. I give the kids their food and by default I need to eat like a pig. Otherwise I don’t have energy for life… or atleast that’s what I think, I know from experience it’s not true but when the time comes I can’t fight it….

Any mind tricks you guys have to really see through IF? My little ones are devils at night and I’m usually up until 1 and then awake again at 7…. Means food has become an escape

When I had stress moments at previous jobs I used to bang out pushups in the bathroom or in the isles or even my desk to get my mind right. Or squats.

Exercise does wonders and not saying you aren’t exercising, but as a stress relief it helps.

A bunch of times I worked an office job that I disliked and a couple nights I just did endless pushups and squats cause I couldn’t sleep, those endorphins were keeping me going on short sleep the next day at work.

Aside from this exercise stuff I would say mind over matter, just tell yourself I got this and that you’re strong and all that good stuff cause you are.

Hang in there and hope you find your way.
