Hypothyroidism and extended fasting

I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and was wondering if anyone with this condition has done an extended water fast? If so, did you still take your medication everyday while on the fast? What were your experiences like in terms of weight changes/overall health? Any advice would be appreciated as well!

My hypothyroidism is caused by hashimotos - doing a 3 day fast put it into remission - not sure if it works the same for straight up hypo.Thyroid meds work better when faster so I would still take them

I have had hypothyroidism for years now, fasting and losing weight slowed down the illness progressing in my case, nevertheless when fasting i always take my meds. You take them on empty stomach anyway. And you shouldn’t ever stop them unless your doctor allows it.
