Over the last few years, I have gone from being in very good shape to chubby to straight up obese. I have got to reverse this problem for the sake of my health, my waistline, and my clothes.
And I am going to do it with the help of fasting. I have been putting off fasting for over a year now, but I will finally take the plunge tomorrow. No more excuses. Posting this for accountability. I will eat no caloric food between my last meal (7PM this evening) and Wednesday evening at 8PM. 48 hours probably sounds like nothing to you vets, but I am a rookie!
Everyone has to start somewhere and I am starting with the next 48 hours. BOOK IT!
If you’ve never fasted before I’d suggest going for a shorter fast to start off with. Maybe a 24 hour fast. Because jumping right into an extended fast the way you are, you’re gonna feel like shit. If you’re okay with that then go for it but it could be so much easier if you increased your fasting hours gradually.

I’ve found it helpful to keep busy on the fasting day and drink lots of water/sparkling water (and or coffee/tea if you’re allowing yourself those) to keep the stomach full.

I did 72 hours last week for my first longer fasting attempt. Found the first 48 quite easy, even sat through a hotel breakfast buffet with just black coffee. You’ll breeze through 48 hours. Good on you!
(also if you just go to bed early on Wednesday you’ll probs easily make it to 60)
