I know I’m gonna get a ton of downvotes for this, but it’s ‘regimen’ not ‘regime’.

Answer

No downvotes here! You re are 100% correct. And that’s coming from someone who would like to see ‘prolly’ and ‘supposebly’ added as proper forms of those words, just for the heck of it. But until that day comes, they, too, are also still incorrect. (Do I get extra credit for the Oxford commas?)

Answer

Except in French, it is régime, and English has tons of French loan words like hors d’œuvres, cul de sac, and “boo coo” as pronounced by all my relatives who grew up in Indiana.

You can blame women’s magazines for the proliferation of “régime,” but no, it’s not wrong.

Answer

Let as not forget the borrowed Greek and Latin words. Some one called English a bastard language because of ALL the borrowed words. Let us not forget the Anglo Saxon, Celts, German, Swedish and Danish that’s floating around out the. A yes and let’s not forget the Spanish.
