I know its still early...

Good morning. I just started this Snake Juice diet journey, so I know its early. I do want to get feedback though because I don’t want to get discouraged and wanted to hear some experiences. Friday at 4:30 pm; I fasted for 48 hours, on 1L of Snake Juice. I tend to not get thirsty. I ate my refeed meal last night (very Low carbs) and back to fasting after 30 minutes. I weighed this morning any in my close to 72 hours total, I have only lost 2oz. I do feel discouraged as I have a lot of weight I could loose. Any thoughts?

Personally I don’t weigh myself. Don’t let your success ride on outside feedback in the beginning. Success comes from consistency over a period so just put your head down and concentrate in doing your best each day. Weigh yourself after a month or so. Ultimately you want to look good and fit into better clothes… No matter what the scale says so keep doing it untill you see a difference in the mirror or your clothes!

Eating 400-700 calories of high fat/high salt/low protein ever day, July 6 start @ 351 lbs. As of today Aug 1 I am 305lbs. 46 lbs lost in 25 days (granted its the first 46 pounds with the glycogen and water and all, but still - I think I’m easily doing 3/4 lb of fat per day on average. This is way faster than fasting ever was because its EASY. I had 1 binge-fail and it wasn’t a very big one, early on – probably took in just shy of 3000\~ pizza calories ugh lol.

I only fasted for 3 straight days one time following that binge (i was pissed at myself), otherwise every day I eat the same macros. If I can get off another 5 lbs. in 5-6 days I’ll be more than happy to say I lost 51lbs. in 1 month. :)

I don’t exercise a ton - I mean, I’m in a band and do 2 gigs a week, standing up, setting up and tearing down equipment. I do go for 2-5 miles of walks with my dog or by myself every day. But that’s it, no weights/gym yet.

I’m just getting started. I have \~90 pounds more to lose - that will take a few months if I stay consistent. I am not afraid, I don’t have to fast my ass off, I get to eat delicious food every day and my energy hasn’t been this good in years. I’ll post some pics at the end of August.

If you are really overweight and this is your first time with this diet, you should expect it to take a while for your body to learn how to stop using glucose as fuel and switch over to ketones. This could take all week. Don’t get discouraged though because once your body get accustomed to burning ketones the weight will start to shed off quickly. One of the things that I find helpful is to go on long walks and get a ketone tester.

Female hormones can cause water weight fluctuations. Hydration status can cause water weight fluctuations. A lot of things can cause water weight fluctuations. These fluctuations will affect the number on the scale.

I use my weekly average to track my weight loss. It seems to be more representative of weight loss. But even then it wasn’t a steady number. When I was fasting 120 hours a week. My average weekly weight loss was very up and down ranging between 2.5 to 7 pounds a week. Over 4 months I averaged 4 pounds a week.
