I'm sick of not liking what I see on the scale or in the mirror

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to try this. I’m new to this concept. I’ve had success with atkins in the past but this go around nothing seems to work for me. I’m 39 and weigh the most I’ve ever weighed. It’s like I can’t stop gaining. I’m so embarrassed by the way I look. I want to feel and look better and gain some confidence back. This is the most honest I’ve been with myself and am happy to start my journey. Any tips on where to begin or any specific diet to follow for the best quickest results? Has any one fasted while doing shakes like slim fast? Apologies if this has been posted gazillion of times…. new here!

One tip from my own journey, don’t let not liking yourself be your only motivator. At least for me, that negativity would only carry me so far and would inevitably fail. Find some positive goals as well, something that makes you actually want to engage with the process not just the outcome.

Answer

  1. Figure out how many total carbs you are eating every day

  2. Figure out how many times per day you consume calories, of any amount

Then, adjust it to where you are consuming no more than 50g total carbohydrates per day, at first.

And simultaneously adjust your eating pattern to where you are only consuming calories two times per day
