One tip from my own journey, don’t let not liking yourself be your only motivator. At least for me, that negativity would only carry me so far and would inevitably fail. Find some positive goals as well, something that makes you actually want to engage with the process not just the outcome.
Figure out how many total carbs you are eating every day
Figure out how many times per day you consume calories, of any amount
Then, adjust it to where you are consuming no more than 50g total carbohydrates per day, at first.
And simultaneously adjust your eating pattern to where you are only consuming calories two times per day
