Progress pics are great. This sub makes a good catalog where you can search for someone the same weight/sex as you and what they end up as after 5,7,10,14, 20 day fast. REALLY helped me stay on track with fasting.

But I agree with the timer pics. Saying “I’ve fasted 3 days” is enough info. The timer is just redundant.

The progress pics push me, and remind me to stay diligent. The timer pics show me that longer faststs are possible, and give me something to work towards.

I enjoy the discussion-based posts too. In other words, I just enjoy all the content from this sub.

This topic just has a high turnover rate of people coming in for a few weeks/months to understand how to fast, and then leaving once they’ve obtained the knowledge they need. However, I think the moderators would do well to allow for discussions on certain topics that seem taboo here, such as: electrolytes.

Well, I can see OP got hit up by all the newer members of this community since no one seems to agree.

I agree with OP. That’s why there is a sub called r/progresspics Let the pictures happen there. This should be more informative here. And if you (people) really need someone else’s picture to motivate you, then that means you’re not doing it right. If your main goal is to lose weight from fasting, then start fasting and get your own results to motivate you.

Also, progress pics only show physical fasting benefits. There are so many other benefits that can’t be seen in a picture, and that is just some of what OP and I miss.
