I have the following items:
Teddies unsalted smooth peanut butter Toll house milk chocolate morsels 100% honey Almond breeze unsweetened original almond milk Oatmeal.
I have the base and some toppings. I guess I am looking for some fruit combos/suggestions and if you have any other recipes that are good (balance between tastes good but still really healthy) that require things I don’t have, I am open to trying other suggestions and/or recommendations!
My secrets are these
I use Demerara sugar because half a tbl spoon will be sweeter than a tbl spoon of white sugar!
I also first put cut up strawberries in the jar first and I smash them so they release the juice this will make it taste super sweet but not sugary sweet! & it makes it look pink so it doesn’t look all brown and depressing tbh.
I add hemp seeds and blanched almonds so that there is a nice crunch.
Cinnamon is good for lots of reasons but it also smells good.
Maybe some dried cranberries.
I would add a table spoon of yogurt but idk how good that is. Doesn’t really taste like much either.
Honey.
I keep it pretty simple: Rolled or steel cut oats, roasted pumpkin seeds, roasted sunflower seeds, crushed nuts of some kind, cinnamon, buckwheat groats. Soak overnight in milk or water, add no-sugar-added peanut butter + sliced banana in the morning. Maybe a bit of honey if I want it sweeter. I also add chia seeds from time to time.
Dried cranberries, fresh blueberries, and or pretty much any fruit you like is a good addition. Fresh kiwi (no PB) is bomb.
