I need someone to talk to about dry fasting and share experiences with.

I’m undergoing what would probably be a 10 to 15 day dry fast in the hopes of changing the way I live. I’m not overweight, I’m 6’4 and 187lbs but I hate the way that I look and since I am going through a transition as well (mtf), I NEED to lose much weight in order to feel complete. Sure, sounds superficial. Judge me all you want, but I’ve been preparing the whole summer and now that I’m doing it, I feel as though I owe myself that change. If anyone is willing to help me along the way with tips and emotional support, hmu.

hmmm….

have you ever done any kind of fast before?

10-15 day dry fast triggers an avalanche of unusual hormone changes. i have no idea what it entails but i know that folk in transition also take a lot hormones. so please so your research. might be nothing but better safe than sorry.

i am somewhat available for the support dm/pm

Answer

I think u can go down to 160 with little problems but it all depends on your physical conformation. Just pay attention to your hormonal status and when you surpass the 7/8 days mark. Probably better do 7 days, refeed, 7 days and so on.

Hey! I’d love to accompany you on your journey. I’m proud of you for embracing who you truly are. I’d like to lose 50-60 pounds in less than a month. Right now I’m 203 pounds and my goal is 140-150. I’ll give it my best and I hope you will too! 10-15 days may be too extreme though, so be careful! I’ll be doing about 5-7 day rounds.

I finished a 6 day fast about a day and a half ago so I can definitely provide you support, and you know that I’ll stick through the fasting and won’t give up!
