hello.
as the title suggests. I am fully willing to consume the blandest nutrient paste imaginable, as long as it is providing me with the minimum number of calories and other important things for an adult male. Any advice would be very greatly appreciated. The less money I have to spend on eating the better.
thank you.
For me, oatmeal, eggs and bananas for breakfast meals. Broccoli, onions, garlic, spinach, roma tomatoes and cauliflower for fresh veggies. Dry beans of all kinds for proteins. Rice for some carbs. Chicken thighs or leg quarters for meat. Mushrooms, peppers, apples and citrus fruits on occasion. I’m trying to avoid all processed foods like frozen pizzas, box side dishes and canned sauces. Stock up on inexpensive spices and herbs salt, pepper, oregano, garlic and onion powder. Turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, paprika and Chile powder.
Also shop around – if you have access to an Aldi or Lidl, for instance, check those out – they can be extremely cost-effective.
Idk if it’s cheap in your country but it is in mine. Banana pancakes. Mash bananas, mix in entire egg, then add some oats if you like, and some baking soda if you want to make it fluffy. Then fry it. It’s too good.
I would suggest you can shop around the outside aisles of the market. Fresh fruits and veggies are good for you. I believe most are only good for a few days to a week. Fresh meats, not glued together deli meats that are processed and formed. We eat way too much meat, a portion the size of the palm of your hand is more than enough and you can cut that portion in half. Spice it up with your favorite whole spice not mixed with salt. I don’t use sauces. You can add a half cup of rice add veggies and your meat and you have a tasty meal. I use the kiddie carrier and that full of groceries lasts me a week. buying fresh you can eat for a few $ per day
