I think i don't understang fasting yet...

I’m totally new to IF and i’m doing the 16/8 thing. I’m able to do it, but when it’s time to eat, i’m eating almost twice as much since i’m so hungry. Is that normal ?

Why are you so hungry? Are you eating 3 meals or at least 2?

You need to eat normal portions. Don’t overeat. If you are eating healthy food and getting your nutrients, you should not be so extremely hungry.

I eat a small breakfast at 8:30 a.m. , a small lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 4:30 p.m. Then, I fast for 16 hours.

For all your meals, choose foods that are satiating. Start with clean proteins, add lots of vegetables. Eat until you are satisfied. Eat your meal slowly and mindful day, with no other distractions, and this will help with the overeating problem.

Avoid all sugars and all sweetened drinks. Do not snack between your meals.

Do this consistently and you will get used to it very soon.

Are you counting calories? What are you basing it on? I recommend planning your meal to break your fast to maximize how healthy and what macros it has. I recommend using an app like “my fitness pal” to log each food to understand how much fat, carb and protein content as well as calories.
