So I recently started a new anti depressant as well as a new birth control. The next week I start a 16:8 fasting schedule. I ate about 1 oz of hummus and 3 oz of carrots maybe 10-15 min before exercise. About 15 minutes in I stood up from the ground and literally couldn’t see at all immediately. I stumbled out of my house and onto the stairs and my friend got my mom who put rags on my head and gave me juice. My vision returned after what felt like a million years! My face went from red to pale instantly as the episode started and I was freaking the fuck out. How do I avoid episodes like this in the future? I am kind of scared to return to my normal routine.
Well I’ll answer as no one seems to be very active. So I am fasting as well with very limited calories and just water. I also have to workout because I play college soccer. What I find that helps me is to take these glucose gummies that have 15 calories per gummy and you take 2 before you workout and then about an hour after take 2 more. It’s 30 calories total between that and it’ll give you the sugar your body needs to have energy. It works like a charm for me right now as I’m 3 days in to fasting. I hope my advice works for you, it’s very cheap for the gummies/pills too.
