It was great! I had improved muscular endurance!
Wednesday I had a normal lunch after a 12 hour fast and went to the gym before dinner
Thursday I had lunch and dinner after an 18 hour fast, worked out on a full stomach
Today I went to the gym 21 hours into a 24 hour fast and it was by far my best performance. Because I had black coffee with a cinnamon stick for lunch, I was a bit more caffeinated today than the other days.
I’m currently working on going to the gym 6 days a week and building my fasting up to see if the ‘life’ app’s claims of HGH in longer fasts help my gains.
My experience with fasting and weight training has been similar. Anywhere 16-24 hours into a fast and I can lift almost exactly like normal.
But anything after that tends to have me lagging a little bit and not lifting as heavy as normal. Electrolytes are suuuper important if you want to fast and lift at the same time. I once did a workout 4 days into a fast and almost passed out multiple times because I had been neglecting my electrolytes. So definitely be mindful of your hydration.
But congrats overall! It’s an awesome feeling to be able to do shit most people wouldn’t dream of.
