I was so close to sub 300 again and it all just went so wrong..

I posted here 2 weeks ago saying I’d hit 301 but felt like I had to break my fast and just delay the <300 by a few days, instead of forcing myself through the extra day, probably seeing 299 and then overreacting anyway.

Well that didn’t work either, and despite the fact the day after the 301 I was still only at 304 and I generally find IF relatively easy especially up to OMAD anyway, sometimes even 48hrs feel like nothing. At 304 I was 16.5lb down in 2 weeks since focusing again.

But this was psychological, bad week, big car bill, very tough therapy session and heavy week at work. That’s my downfall all the time, tough days/weeks lead to fasting out the window and food choices being terrible. And I do it knowing I’ll feel awful afterwards which I do, like I’m punishing myself for having a tough time.

Now I’ve got 15lb or so to hit my holy grail of 299, so I’m posting this for accountability. I’ve got quite a busy week and lots of bottled water ice cold in the fridge to get a multi day fast done.

Now that I’ve got that out there, does anyone else really struggle like this when you drop off for whatever reason? Like proper binging to the point your stomach hurts. I need to find a way to disassociate food and how I’m feeling, when I’m down I can’t be reaching for multipacks of crap. If anyone has any advice or resources I can look at then I’d be very grateful.

Whilst I failed again and this was the hardest one because I was sure I’d do it and it was the closest I got I need to move on and not do anymore damage. Time to refocus.

The 299 is coming and then I never want to see 3XX again. As someone said in my original post ‘keep that shit up’. I’m desperate to post a scale picture below 300 so keep an eye out because it’s coming soon, I’m not losing this same 14/15lb again for like the 6th time.

Honestly man it’s just a fork in the road. You should get real with yourself and address these issues because until you get your mental health together you’ll just keep on bouncing. Which, eventually if you bounce less than you’re consistent you’re gonna hit that mark regardless but it’s better for you as a whole to fix it before you do something stupid again.

I think for most people Thanksgiving was a rough week for weight loss. Even the few of us that ignored the feast and stuck to the diet it was HARD. Don’t be too angry and just hop right back on it.

Sometimes obsessing too much on a target can lead to more stress which can be a binge trigger. Go easy on yourself and remember you’re doing really well and trust that the results will come eventually :-)
