Ideal time for your eating window?

If you’re doing the 20/4 fast is it a bad thing to eat before bed? Does that matter at all? Should your 4 hour window be at a certain time of day?

Answer

From what I’ve read, it’s more efficient in terms of weight loss and other health benefits to eat during daylight hours, as it syncs with your cells’ natural circadian rhythm. The key is what works for you though. I usually have my window between 5-9pm (snack, dinner, snack) but I’m shifting it forward now to squeeze in a late lunch, in order to gain efficiency benefits but more importantly keep my nutritional balance.

Answer

If I was on a 20/4 fast, I would ideally like to break my fast around lunchtime as that would give me sufficient time to digest my food as well as be a bit more active, but if I had to break my fast at dinner (due to social reasons), I would try and break it at 4 pm and start my fast at 8 pm.
