IF and high protein

Im trying to do a high protein diet but finding it really hard to hit 100g protein daily while doing IF. I feel uncomfortably full already with what I’m eating.

Any tips for increasing protein intake?

Answer

Keep in mind that extra protein, if unused, just gets converted to carbs in your body. Extra carbs will raise your insulin, which will signal to your body to store fat. And if your goal is to build muscle, then IF probably isnt an ideal diet in the first place.

If your goal is to lose weight, not build muscle, follow your hunger cues. If youre full, you really dont need it. If you really want to stick to a high protein diet: protein shakes dont have as good of a conversion rate to usable protein, even whey, so if you really want to increase protein, id add meat to your eggs. It’s easy to add ham, or you could always meal prep a bit of shredded chicken and add it to every meal.
